2010 IAH-CNC Membership
2010 Membership Application (pdf)
Members (Full) $120/yr
Everyone who is a member of IAH, regardless of the country fee they pay, and regardless of whether they join as individuals, through a National Chapter or as part of a company corporate membership, has the same standing, voting rights and membership benefits. As a full member you will also receive a paper copy of the Hydrogeology Journal, newsletters and reduced fees at Canadian conferences.
On-line Members $100/yr
On-line members receive exactly the same member benefits but all documentation is sent and accessed electronically. With the increasing size of Hydrogeology Journal some members have said that they are quite satisfied with only having access to the Journal on-line and do not wish to receive and store hard copies. When the next Journal is available on-line, normally at least a month before the hard copy publication, on-line members are sent an e-mail alert.
Student Members (Full) $55/yr
Student members receive full membership benefits either by mail or on-line at their choice. Student membership lasts for two years in the first instance and will not be renewed unless a statement of continuing student status is received from the university or college authorities.
On-line Student Members $50/yr
On-line members receive exactly the same benefits as a student member but all documentation is sent and accessed electronically. With the increasing size of Hydrogeology Journal some members have said that they are quite satisfied with only having access to the Journal on-line and do not wish to receive and store hard copies. When the next Journal is available on-line, normally at least a month before the hard copy publication, on-line members are sent an e-mail alert.
Associate Student Membership
The IAH-CNC will be offering a student web-membership option to students enrolled in Canadian hydrogeology programs to encourage more student involvement. This was a key decision made at the 2007 Executive Meeting to help get students more involved.
Registered students can sign up for a free virtual membership to IAH-CNC under the category “Associate IAH-CNC Student Membership”;
The “Associate IAH-CNC Student Membership” will receive:
- a link to the IAH-CNC bulletin on the member section of the IAH-CNC website;
- a copy of the table of contents and links to Springer for the IAH journal (which is available to students via their university libraries already);
- Reduced registration fees for IAH-CNC events, including the annual conference;
- IAH-CNC emailing for each region and nationally for events;
- The “Associate IAH-CNC Student Membership” does not include membership to the IAH International, or voting rights.
Eligibility for the “Associate IAH-CNC Student Membership” will be determined by current registration in a college or university hydrogeology program. The IAH-CNC will be contacting all of the Canadian universities and colleges to establish what programs will be eligible. Please contact your instructor for details.
Retired Members $60/yr
Members who retire from groundwater related employment tend to review their society memberships in the light of their reduced financial circumstances and often resign from IAH. They do this with regret because they would like to maintain a contact with the "IAH family" so from 2008 we have introduced this new category at a reduced rate. Members will receive annual reports, IAH News and Information, Groundwater eNews and would be a voting member of the Association but will not receive the Journal either by mail or have on-line access to the full papers.
Life Membership $2,400
Life membership is available for individuals for a single lump sum payment of 20 x the normal membership fee.
Corporate Membership $680/yr
A company can join IAH and support our work and enroll up to six employees as personal members.
Since 2002 IAH has operated its corporate membership scheme to encourage companies to enroll their staff as personal members of IAH through a single annual company payment.
For the basic fee a company can become a corporate member of the Association and nominate three of its employees to have personal membership. Members joining this way have the same individual membership and voting rights of any member of the Association.
The company will enjoy the following benefits:
- 50% discount on advertising space in News and Information
- Promotion opportunities at IAH Congresses and other exposure as a corporate sponsor in IAH publicity.
- Additional Corporate Staff Members: $100/yr
- For an additional fee per person the company can nominate up to a further three employees to also have personal membership a total of six in all. Therefore a company who is a corporate member of IAH can provide the benefits of IAH membership to six members of its professional staff.
If companies wish they can take out more than one corporate membership.
Corporate Sponsorship $3,200/yr
IAH-CNC, through the IAH, invites companies working in the field of groundwater and geoscience who wish to demonstrate their support for the goals of IAH, to become corporate sponsors and help provide IAH additional income beyond the contributions of its professional members to support its work. Corporate sponsorship includes basic corporate membership. Details of the Corporate Sponsorship category are found here: http://www.iah.org/join_corp_sponsors.asp
